The Role:

The security coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of the P4 pass application process for PPP personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and manage all vetting and pass applications, ensure timely submission of applications for vetting clearance and passes
  • Co-ordinate and manage all Client and Supply chain Audits
  • Maintain a record and & track vetting & site pass applications through the process
  • Managing all aspects of visitor and short-term worker applications
  • Managing the security requirements for sub-contractors including but not limited to pass requirements and administration of the vetting process,
  • Provide training, advice & support to the Supply chain including visits to their office locations for such purposes and assurance activities.
  • Process all Pass renewals for the project & supply chain
  • Co-ordinate and Process all vetting and aftercare requirements
  • Train & support and supervise Security Administrators in relation to security vetting and pass applications
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with the Client Vetting & Pass office, project managers and sub-contractors nominated security contacts
  • Assist the Security Manager as part of the security team with the implementation of and compliance with security measures as required by the contract.
  • Provide cover for the Security Manager where required during periods of absence or high volumes of work and fulfil any role within the team as required by the Security Manager.
  • Maintain Knowledge and experience within the role ensuring they reach and maintain the level competence required by annual SQEP testing.
  • Ensure that all security records containing personal data remain compliance GDPR & Data Protection requirements

Skills and Experienced required:

  • Good standard of education, GCSE or equivalent, English language and maths
  • Experience of national vetting requirements, nuclear Licensed site requirements and/or Client vetting requirements
  • Experience of working in a secure environment
  • Experience of working with and maintaining sensitive information
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Computer literacy is essential, particularly MS word, Excel & office to input data, retrieve records and information
  • Good knowledge of legislation including the HMG security Policy framework, Nuclear Industries Security regulations 2003, Official secrets act and the Office for Nuclear Regulation Civil Nuclear Information and Personnel Security Standards
  • Ability to attain a security clearance (SC)
