About the role: 

To provide bid content on management systems, IMS and standard management practices, including health and safety, sustainability, collaboration and systems to tenders and PQQ Opportunities, substantiated with evidence and case study.

Review and improve operational content and presentation.

Contribute to the management of Proposals Database in sharepoint.

Learn and understand client procurement strategies to be able to structure responses for ease of high scoring marking against set criteria. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical writing support to PQQ documents and tenders 
  • Responsible for creating technical responses including Project Management, Function Management, Health and Safety, Sustainability and Inclusion Issues etc. 
  • Maintains an awareness and understanding of relevant technical and legislative development in key fields to maintain best practice.
  • Maintains good awareness of current and recently completed projects.
  • Ensures responses are compliant with the clients specification and assessment criteria
  • Acts as part of a team to deliver activities which support operational objectives
  • Manages a variety of tasks and is able to plan accordingly within the short-term
  • Makes decisions within parameters set by manager, using job/specialist experience
  • Maybe subject to regular local supervision of progress against results and escalates issues when required
  • Interacts with stakeholders around specific work efforts and deliverables
  • Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards
  • Supervises the activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibility. Supports the identification of ways to reduce cost.

Skills, qualifications and technical knowledge required: 

  • Preferably graduate with relevant technical qualification or function expertise
  • GCSE in English Language grade C or above 
  • Knowledge of the Industry, MorganSindall  business and wider group businesses 
  • Has very good awareness of the Proposals Library and Internet Knowledge Banks.
  • Intermediary IT skills in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel  and PowerPoint.
  • The proven ability to analyse tender specifications and  generate successful answer plans and response material 
  • Good ability to interact with other team members and external clients where appropriate and ghost write if necessary 
  • Persuasive writing and presentation skills and the ability to write to a high degree of technical accuracy (structure and grammar). 
  • Good ability to review; edit and improve copy. Provide structured and meaningful feedback to operational support 
  • Ability to structure responses and create presentations using graphics, tables; call out boxes and performance data to substantiate statements
