Construction Engineer 

Location: Cumbria 

Who we are looking for: 

The role of the Construction Engineer is to assist the Construction Manager with the management of construction activities on Sellafield sites. The Construction Engineer provides technical support to the works being undertaken and supports the Construction Manager in ensuring that the construction activities are executed to meet the goals and objectives of the project and business. They also ensure that during construction activities the regulatory and statutory requirements placed on the licensee are complied with to ensure that design intent is met. The Construction Engineer is appointed by the Construction Manager following a successful SQEP assessment and reports to the Construction Manager.

To thrive in the role you will have: 

  • A degree in an Engineering
  • Previous experience in a similar role 
  • Proven experience in the successful delivery of projects within the construction industry. 
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant industry standards and specifications 
  • Strong leadership and project management skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines 
  • Full driving licence
