About the Project:

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has been awarded the civils and construction management contract on the 20 year Programme and Project Partnership framework with Sellafield Ltd.

At the core of the partnership is collaborative working, with the framework being delivered in conjunction with four other organisations.

The overriding aim of the Programme and Project Partnership is to bring together individuals with the right values and behaviours to deliver world class projects on the Sellafield site. 

Responsibilities:

As Pre-Operations Training Development Team Member, you will:

  • Support effective project delivery of required O&M (People, Plant and Procedures) related deliverables to enable projects to be successfully handed to Operational Units.
  • Support a proactive and balanced approach to safety (nuclear, radiological, conventional and environmental) to ensure that safety is optimised during project delivery and for operations.
  • Seek delivering opportunities for savings.
  • Report project delivery progress to the Pre-Operations Manager and key stakeholders.
  • Interface with internal/external regulators and stakeholders such as start-up and wider project team members and Vendors with regards to the development and delivery of training.
  • Perform analysis, design and development of training and assessment materials.
  • Combine different learning methods and media in support of a blended learning approach
  • Work to bridge the digital gap by exploring new learning technologies and utilising current proven methods and technologies.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Understand and be able to analyse technical Operational & Maintenance information.
  • Have nuclear sector experience, including working within large scale projects.
  • Have an excellent work ethic and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplined project delivery team as well as both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have a detailed understanding and proven track record of the application of the Systematic Approach to Training and how it is used to develop training programs within operational nuclear facilities.
  • Be experienced in the use of training databases for the recording of training analysis.
  • Have facilitation skills to establish training requirements from a range of experts, stakeholders and information sources.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have experience of or a willingness to develop in your use of additional software as appropriate for training development.
  • Be willing to occasionally spend some time working away from home, for short periods of time, to visit vendor sites or attend key activities.
