Summary of the role |
To support the development and implementation of social impact activities in response to the identified social impact needs in alignment with business strategy across the Energy and Water business unit.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities |
Manage and implement Morgan Sindall’s approach in line with project aspirations. Gather information to support tender process for bidding team and framework bodies to ensure our enhancing communities requirements are met. Support the development of social impact initiatives at the contract tendering stage. Working closely with project teams to ensure Morgan Sindall deliver their Enhancing Communities obligations including liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Building relationships with the Client to ensure measures of the social impact plan for both parties are synchronised. Provide support and assist teams in meeting obligations under the social impact plan Building relationships with internal departments to develop and promote new initiatives and share good practice Co-ordinate community initiative press releases and case studies in order for Morgan Sindall to gain visibility in the local area. Networking and engagement with 3rd sector bodies to identify social requirements within the region and future opportunities. Support the reporting of Social impact delivery with individual contracts. Be responsible for business reporting to MSI e.g monthly / quarterly progress reports / dashboards Attend team meetings and meetings of the Infrastructure ‘community of practitioners’, supply chain meetings, engagement events as required. Understand clients and operational key aims and objectives and action and deliver on these in the timescales required. Attend external events to obtain details of best practice and assist with the implementation of new initiatives to improve business performance. Develop and maintain effective networks with all relevant contracts to ensure the social value and KPI’s are delivered in the most effective way. Monitor contract commitments to ensure these are completed Support the completion of Social Value Case studies.

Qualifications, training and technical knowledge |
Good standard of education and demonstrable experience Experience of social impact / social value activities Understanding of the social value act 2012 Excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to speak to a wide variety of audiences. Ability and confidence to network Full UK driving licence Ability to travel across sites throughout UK Strong organisational skills Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office suite) Good Team player |
