Opportunity:
Health and Safety Manager to work across the National Highways Concrete Roads Framework. Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is one of two companies to have been appointed to the £218 million Reconstruction Works Framework. It is a design and build arrangement to demolish existing concrete road surfaces that are in poor condition and replace with a new smoother surface.
Ideally this role would suit an ambitious, driven individual who embraces the challenge of working within a high performing and supportive team. Working as part of the Health and Safety team to improve the performance of Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and its supply chain in line with Morgan Sindall Responsible Business and Protecting People.
You will directly support the Project Director and their teams to ensure that a consistent approach and the highest standards regarding health and safety are maintained. You will provide professional advice for the safe delivery and handover to the Client.
Experience within the civil engineering industry is essential for this role; highways experience is desirable but not a deal breaker. As the Health and Safety Manager, you will have proven experience of delivering in a similar role and be able to evidence successful management in a complex environment with multiple interfaces.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Proven experience of delivering in a similar role and evidence of successful management in a complex organisation with multiple interfaces
- Qualified to degree level with a NEBOSH Diploma or (S)NVQ level 5 or equivalent, in occupational health and safety supported by appropriate and relevant continuous professional development
- Experience in infrastructure or construction environments advantageous.
