Job Title: Construction Engineer (Civils)
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced site based Construction Engineer (Civils) to join our dynamic Construction Team team on the Replacement Analytical Project (RAP) within the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) on Sellafield.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership on construction projects, ensuring that all civil engineering works are completed to the required standards, within budget, and on time. They will work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to ensure that all works are executed in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, and all relevant industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership on all civil engineering aspects of the project
- Manage the construction of civil engineering works, including earthworks, drainage, utilities, and roadways
- Ensure that all works are carried out in compliance with relevant industry standards and specifications
- Monitor progress and ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations and standards are adhered to
- Liaise with the client and other stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are met
- Supervise and manage a team of civil engineers and construction workers
- Provide technical support to the project team
Requirements:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in the construction of civil engineering works, including earthworks, drainage, utilities, and roadways
- Excellent knowledge of relevant industry standards and specifications
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Full driving licence
