Job Title: Security Administrator

About Us:
Morgan Sindall is looking for a Security Administrator to join our dedicated security team, supporting our critical PPP (Programme and Project Partners) projects. We’re seeking a proactive and organised individual to help us maintain and enhance our security protocols in line with Sellafield Ltd and Morgan Sindall's security requirements.
The Role:
As a Security Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the security function to ensure full compliance with all security standards. You will help maintain key records, ensure adherence to the Collaborative Management Plan, and promote the Perfect Delivery philosophy—ensuring ‘snag-free’ and right-first-time processes across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain records and databases related to security vetting and pass applications.
- Coordinate drug and alcohol testing for site access requirements, collating and distributing results.
- Oversee the DBS certificate application process, ensuring results are processed and communicated.
- Handle visitor and short-term worker pass processes in line with site access requirements.
- Coordinate security communications, ensuring that information reaches the relevant personnel.
- Manage site pass renewals.
- Provide basic cover for the Security Coordinator during periods of absence.
- Maintain required competencies through annual SQEP testing, ensuring up-to-date knowledge in all areas of responsibility.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- A good standard of education (GCSE or equivalent) including English and Maths.
- Prior experience in an administrative role, preferably within a secure environment.
- Experience handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and Office for data input and retrieval.
- The ability to attain Security Clearance (SC).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and follow established processes and procedures.
- The ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, building strong relationships with colleagues at all levels.
