Senior Quantity Surveyor – Rail Systems

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to join our dynamic Rail team delivering a complex systems subcontract package at Beckton Depot.
About the Role
This role will see you take a lead commercial position on the administration of a multifaceted subcontract package. The scope of works includes:
- Groundworks and ancillary civils
- Permanent Way (P-Way) installation
- Signalling systems
- Traction power infrastructure
- Operational Track Crossings (OTC)
- Design and assurance within the subcontractor’s scope
- Possession management for both subcontractor and contractor works
Key Responsibilities
- Administering NEC contracts (Options A, B, and C)
- Managing change control processes both upstream and downstream
- Collaborating with project delivery teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Ensuring accurate and timely cost reporting, forecasting, and risk management
- Supporting procurement, subcontractor engagement, and final account resolution
About You
- We’re seeking a commercially astute and delivery-focused individual with:
- Proven experience in administering NEC contracts (Options A, B & C Preferred)
- A strong background in rail systems or multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects
- Excellent knowledge of change management and contract administration
- Strong stakeholder management skills across both client and supply chain
- Chartership with RICS or ICES (or working towards) is highly desirable
