Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job description
Reporting to the commercial manager to provide commercial support and management to the project commercial team, ensuring that all aspects of project contract administration is undertaken in a timely and accurate manner.
Key responsibilities
- Subcontract management and general project commercial actions
- Management of junior project commercial staff
- Delivery and accountability for internal and external project commercial targets
- Engagement with project stakeholders including Client commercial team

Accountabilities
- Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders
- The highlighting of any current and potential issues to the commercial manager
- Maintain compliance with approved processes procedures and project executive plans
- The active contribution to continuous improvement of the functional quality and performance of Quantity Surveying
- To work in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan
Qualifications and experience
- Supervisory/management experience within a project commercial team
- Knowledge and/or experience of the management of Subcontracts
- BSc in related subject or equivalent experience
- Chartered member to a recognised organisation (RICS or CIOB) an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of commercial aspects of civil and infrastructure projects
- Experience of a Contract Management System (CEMAR etc)
- Capable of obtaining (or currently holds) UK Nuclear industry clearance
- Est. 10 – 15 years’ experience) Could manage a small team, whilst reporting into a more senior member for strategic and management guidance
