General Foreman / Appointed Person

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced General Foreman and Lift Supervisor to lead the completion of the Gremista project while taking on the Appointed Person (AP) role, supporting lifting operations across multiple projects in Scotland. Your primary responsibility will be to act as the named Lifting AP for Scotland, overseeing lifting activities, providing site supervision when required, and ensuring all works are carried out safely and to the highest standards. With significant experience in lifting and supervision, you will coordinate site personnel and subcontractors, manage quality, and report on all relevant site activities. Initially focused on SSENT projects, your remit will later expand to include SPT, working on a variety of sites across the region.

The Candidate:

  • Lifting AP essential
  • NVQ 3 or 4 preferred
  • CSCS card
  • First Aid
  • CITB 5 day (preferable)
  • Knowledge of traditional construction activities is essential

Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
