Job Description

We are seeking Senior Quality Manager to support our clients and take the lead on quality for our framework in Scotland.

The successful candidate will ensure effective demonstration of quality management for our works by providing subject matter expertise and contributing to continuous improvement of our business unit processes. They will ensure that our works comply with company and national standards and specifications and will collaborate with our stakeholders to ensure expectations and standards are satisfied. By contributing to pre-contract and audit activities, they will play a crucial role in quality planning and provide our teams with the tools to monitor and control the execution of works to ensure we can effectively demonstrate adherence to specifications.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the framework Quality Management Plan (QMP), you will support development of specific QMPs for individual projects, ensuring that all aspects of quality for our multi-disciplinary works are satisfied in the Defence Nuclear sector.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our team, supply chain, customer quality team and stakeholders.
  • You will be the main point of contact for quality, liaising with client, supply chain and construction teams. Ensuring that standards are simply demonstrated and adhered to.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice, BS18001/ISO14001/ISO9001 management systems and their implementation.
  • Management of a quality team for the framework.

 

Requirements/Qualifications

Essential

  • HND, HNC or Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered member of the Chartered Quality Institute.
  • Experience in developing and implementing improvement to quality strategies and approaches for infrastructure and/or major construction projects.
  • Strong management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate teams.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, quality processes, and demonstrating compliance with standards and specifications.

 

Desirable

  • Membership of a recognised, relevant professional institute.
  • Experience in Nuclear or similar highly regulated sector
