National Inclusion Week

Take Action, Make Impact

Published on:

National Inclusion Week is a time for us to celebrate the power of diversity and inclusion, and reflect on the role that businesses, institutions and individuals play in promoting greater inclusion for everyone in society and in the workplace.

Across Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, we’ll be using the theme of National Inclusion Week 2023 - Take Action, Make Impact – to emphasise how making a difference is not always about grand gestures. It's about the conversations, small actions, and open minds that contribute to making things better, happier, safer, and fairer for everyone.

"I truly believe that inclusion makes us more successful because when everyone feels respected and valued, they’re able to share different ideas and perspectives that drive better collaboration, creativity and innovation for us and our customers."

Simon Smith, Managing Director, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure

Simon Smith, managing director of Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, says: “As a business that builds connections through infrastructure, we also believe in the fundamental importance of building connections between our people. When colleagues make time to get to know each other, it helps us to see different backgrounds and experiences, and to be more understanding and empathetic so that everyone can feel a sense of belonging and unity, and are able to be their authentic selves in work. I truly believe that inclusion makes us more successful because when everyone feels respected and valued, they’re able to share different ideas and perspectives that drive better collaboration, creativity and innovation for us and our customers.”

Throughout National Inclusion Week, the business will be sharing colleagues’ diverse inclusion stories; hosting informal inclusion discussions on various topics; highlighting inclusion resources and training; and reflecting upon progress as well as what the future holds in its ongoing commitments to build a workplace that’s representative of wider society and welcoming for everyone.
