About the project |
The National Highways Concrete Roads Programme is a long-term scheme to repair or replace the concrete surface of motorways or major A roads in England. Morgan Sindall has been appointed to deliver some of these large projects on behalf of National Highways. |
What will you
|
This role will involve shadowing the Social Value Manager and other key roles to understand and learn the importance of social value to our business and to gain insight into the roles that play a part in our social value activities. Frequent travel to our projects will be required.
The role will include plenty of mentoring support and may involve: Assisting in preparing social value charters and social value plans using local area needs analysis Using social value measurement tools to record our social impact Working with local communities to prioritise where our social value initiatives would be most valuable and then helping to develop and deliver them! Supporting school engagement activities and helping to plan these Working with our colleagues and supply chain partners to help them to understand the importance of social value and how we can deliver it Researching new initiatives and ways to deliver long lasting social impact Networking within local communities and with other professionals to find opportunities to innovate and collaborate in our delivery of social value Liaising with our environmental, stakeholder, employment and skills, procurement and work winning teams (amongst others!) to help us improve how we deliver social value across our business |
What qualifications
|
Ideally five Grades or equivalent of 9 – 4 grades, including Math’s, English and a Science or Level 3 Apprenticeship. Ability to travel to remote locations - car benefit available Ideally some exposure to a construction/ engineering environment.
