Our porgramme blends practical exposure to enhance your discipline specific abilities whilst enhancing your individual personal development during your early career. You’ll also be offered a professional scheme mentor to help you on your path to chartership with your specific professional institute. We have a great group of early careers currently in the business and plenty of experienced colleagues who get involved in supporting you at every step of the way!

About the project |
The Northumberland Line will bring passenger trains back into service between Ashington and Newcastle. The scheme aims to stimulate and support economic growth, regeneration and community development in Northumberland and the surrounding regions by providing new and improved transport links for local people and businesses. By doing so, the scheme will:
As principal contractor, we will be building six stations and multiple bridges along the route, with support from a local supply chain to stimulate the local economy.

What will you
|
Provide planning support to both the pre-contract and delivery teams in accordance with Company policy, procedures and quality standards. To support Senior Planners in the execution of planning processes. Tender Stage: Assist the planner / senior planner with production of the tender programme Assist the planner / senior planner with production of the tender deliverables as required Construction / Delivery Stage: Capture and input ‘actual data’ to the current programme of site works, as directed by senior planner / planner / operations team Assist with production of the monthly/period updated programme, progress reports and revised forecasts and its communication to the site team, client and all major stakeholders Provide planning support to assist the project in order to enable the team to monitor pinch-points on the critical path and test logic where previously agreed to either improve upon the baseline programme or to mitigate potential delays Assist in the production of reports and programme commentary Produce reports and / or programme pdf’s as required by the project team, including indication of deviation from the baseline programme Attend progress meetings with internal customers Ensure planning processes are followed on all projects Participate in the 4-week lookahead process, providing support to production and review. Visit sites to verify progress and gather production data Verify actual progress against programme and escalate where required

What qualifications
|
Five GCSE’s grades 9-4 (A*- C) including Math’s, English and a Science or Level 2/3 Apprenticeship. Ability to travel to remote locations. Ideally some exposure to a construction/ engineering environment
