Nuclear Business  

We are looking for engineering and science graduates to join our 2-year structured development programme commencing in September 2024.  

You’ll be joining an extensive and exciting portfolio of projects during an unprecedented period of growth, these projects are some of the nuclear industry’s most complex and challenging projects. 

Our projects are built with our belief of being a responsible business and delivering change, whether forpeople, our environment, communities, or UK nuclear. 

You can choose from a wide range of technical graduate positions including, but not limited to, Engineering and Project Management roles in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Commercial Quantity surveyor, Architectural and Electrical disciplines.

Our Graduate Programme 

We cover a variety of technical training coupled with personal development, combining real-world experience to strengthen discipline-specific skills and advance personal growth. Along with our early careers team, we will provide you with full support as you advance as an engineer, manager, and eventually leader of our company. This support will take the form of a professional scheme mentor, buddy, and supportive line manager who will assist you in achieving chartership with your particular professional institute.    


What will you be doing? 
 
As a nuclear graduate, you may be assigned to an in-flight project to ensure engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning are completed safely, to the highest standard, on schedule, and on budget.

You might work with our design delivery partners and be integrated into our pre-construction teams to make sure the designs adhere to strict nuclear standards and our constructability criteria. Utilizing digital technologies and working in 3D Building Information Modelling (BIM) allows you to accurately plan and manage the construction and commissioning operations while bringing the concept to life.

As you work towards chartered status, you will acquire expertise in technical, project management, commercial, contractual, sustainable, safe, and quality areas. Other duties may include: 

  • Supporting the management of allocated subcontract and their associated activities from receipt of design, through manufacturing and installation phases, to final account and project handover
  • Supporting a multi-discipline team to coordinate and administer the contracts they are assigned for successful outcomes
  • Support integration of contracts assigned withing the wider project scope, coordinating with engineering, project and construction management colleagues
  • Represent Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and the project in collaborative engagements with our customers, supply chain and key stakeholders
  • Support the team in achieving Perfect Delivery for our customers

What qualifications do I require?  
 
A degree (or equivalent) in Science, Engineering or Technology at 2.2 or above.

The degree must be accredited by the Engineering Council to gain Chartership status

  • Ideally you will have had some exposure to a construction / engineering environment

Other Considerations 

  • You must have the ability to travel to remote site locations
  • Have some flexibility to stay away from home
  • Work location would be subject to change depending on project development, and business needs. Subsistence and travel costs will be provided, based on company policy and eligibility
